Higgys at Minstead

Hi everyone,

Every things gone a bit crazy just lately, bears to post, bears to get finished and more new bears for the National Teddy Bear Artist Awards along with my stand, it's all a bit manic ! but, I'm loving every minuite xxx it's all very exciting.

I'm really looking forward to Minstead, we've been with Brewins Bruins since they started these awards and I love the venue, the people are friendly, and I have always had a great day with my bears, so Minstead, 22nd May 11am til 5pm at the town hall in Minstead, The New Forest, Hampshire is where we shall be. We look forward to seeing you there, don't hesitate to pop along and say Hi !

Higgys Bears loved Caterham

Well, Caterham was indeed a different type of venue for us, and, It was a lovely day, that included the weather, there were lots of visitors meandering through the hall ways of the Arc, and the atmosphere was friendly and most of them wanted to know more about Artist Bears, but you have to consider that this was the first time that this Craft and Teddy Bears Fair had taken place, so I do think that by next year when word gets about this may be a bigger Fair. One more thing I would have to say is that the Fair itself was very well organised, there were lots of young people on hand all day to give you a hand if needed and altogether it was an extremely pleasant atmosphere. Higgys Bears had a great day out, xxx

Higgys at Caterham

Well, Caterham is only a few days away and I've been working very hard to finish some new designs. I've made 2 new designs in plush synthetic, not quite as easy task as I had first thought, but then we all know what thought did don't we !!! But, I have to say that the end result is very pleaseing. Maisie is a purple, white tip fabric bear with a scissor sculpted face and I added a crocheted bear for company, then there's Snuggles a tan coloured fabric bear with white tips, he too has a scissor sculpted face and a lovely button embelished pillow to rest his oh so tired head on. These 2 bears can be seen on my website on my Higgys at Caterham page. Both of these bears, and lots more of my creations will be at the Craft and Teddy Bear Fair at The Arc, Caterham, Surrey, on Sat. 9th. April 2011 from 10.00am - 4.00pm. If you find yourself in Caterham on Saturday feel free to pop along and say Hi, I'd love to see you there xx

Well it's busy, busy again!
I'm taking part in a new venue for Higgys Bears, that's to say we are doing a Spring Craft and Teddy Bear Fair, to take place at The Arc, in Caterham, Surrey, on Sat. 9th April from 10.00a.m. till 4 .00p.m. Sat Nav. CR3 5XY.
I'm really looking forward to this Fair, it will be interesting to see how this type of Fair differs from a solely Teddy Bear Fair.
Well I must get on now, new creations are waiting to be made, check out my website on Higgys at Caterham page, to see some of my latest bears all ready for their BIG day.

Hugglets loved Higgys bears

Firstly, a very big thank you to all those who stopped bye to say Hi, at Hugglets Fest,. on Sunday.
What a great day it was too, lots and lots of visitors, lots if chatting and lots of my Bears going off to new homes,( bye the way, I hope that they are all settling in nicely x )
Well, I'm exhausted,and I think my husband is worn out to, but is was sooo worth while, and many thanks again to all those who made my day so VERY SPECIAL XXX

Higgys are ready for Hugglets

Well, I'm as ready as I'm going to be, bears are all packed up and ready for their train journey to London. They are all sooo excited about meeting you all x
UPDATE....just heard from the organisers of the Winter Bear Fest. that good old British Gas have decided that a hole needs to be dug in Hornton Street, which prevents cars accessing the concourse from that road. Please be aware of this restriction on Sunday 27th Feb.
