Wow , what an incredible year this has been and to finish it all off I have officially entered the Toby Awards , the finals to be held in San Diego in the New Year, how exciting is that.
However I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my Higgys Bears collecters and all those who, come rain or shine, attend many of the events  through-out the year.

Christmas with Higgys Bears

Hi Everyone,
Sorry I haven't been about for a while, Iv'e just been soooooo busy with orders and Bear Fairs it's all been a bit hectic.
However.....

Higgys Bears at Minstead

Well, I'm almost there !!!!!!! just got to pack all my latest creations safely away for their journey to Minstead,to take part in the Teddy Bear Fair. This event is held in the Village Hall in Minstead, Hampshire,SO43 7FX for sat.nav.it starts at 11 a.m. til 4 p.m.
I love this venue it's in such a lovely part of the New Forest and the surroundings are soooo peaceful : )))))))))))
I look forward to seeing quite a few of my collecters at this Fair but I always like to introduce new comers to Higgys Bears.

Higgys Bears at Bath

Hi everyone,
well I can't believe it's over, I was soooo looking forward to our visit to the Panda Party at House of Bears - Bath, now it's been and gone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
However the great news is that "Shadow" my donated bear sold before I'd bearly got my foot in the shop door!

A lovely lady named " Anna" bought him and asked me to sign the Heart round his neck.
Anna was over the moon and I must say I did have a warm glow inside to think that my little donated bear had gone towards, in some small way,to help the Macmillan Nurses,
Sue does a great job at House of Bears Bath raising money for this most deserving course.

If you are ever in the area look out for "Takoe" and" Yuki", two stunning Panda's that can be found in The House of Bears - Bath

Higgys Delight at Hugglets

Well it's nearly time for Hugglets Teddies 2012 and I am frantically trying to get organised, I have lots of new designs and great fabrics for you to see but just when I think I'm ready another little item gets added to my list!!!!!!!!!!!!

Higgys head for Hugglets

Hi to everyone,
After a couple of weeks R and R (and of course sourcing out new ideas ) I'm concentrating on the big one : ))))))))))))) Of course that can only mean "Hugglets"
I've found some lovely furry fabrics and also some beautiful print cotton fabrics, my husband was quite devastated when he heard me say  that I was going to fade some of it to create an old fashioned feel !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now with hols. over I am fully concentrated on Hugglets on 9th Sept 2012 at Kensington Town Hall, London, this is the biggest and best bear fair for my latest and of course your favourite bears : ))))))))
I have new designs in different fabrics and keep an eye out for the Elephant!!!!!!!!!
Well I must go I have lots to do,

Higgys rest before Hugglets

Higgys Bears have Hugglets Teddies 2012 on the horizon and I have decided to take a few days away from the computer to concentrate on new designs and source new fabrics. I'm looking for new colours (I think!!!) the trouble is I come up with these ideas and then most times revert back to the Traditional tones or Vintage colours, but then again that's what I love and I think that's what works best with my bears xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
If you want to see the fabrics I have chosen they will be avaliable at Hugglets on 9th Sept.

Higgys Bears at Beaulieu

Well, that time has come round all too soon , we are back at Beaulieu in the beautiful New Forest, Hampshire, on Sun. the 24th June 2012.from 10.30a.m. til 4.00 p.m. Sat nav. SO42 7YA
I love this fair it is very family orientated and there's lots of fun things to do for children of all ages!!!
This year I will be a judge in the Bartie Bristle Award , so any support will be welcome!
As always I have new designs ready for the trip to the New Forest, some I have added to my Web-Site this week to give all you avid Higgys Bears collectors a taste of what you can see in the fur at Beaulieu.

Higgys Bears at Minstead

Hi one and all, as all my avid followers will know my new web site is up and running and I've had lots of interest.  :)
Now I need to concentrate on my next bear fair which will be on Sunday 13th May 2012 at Minstead Village Hall, Minstead in Hampshire SO43 7FX (for all you sat navers) from 11.00 am till 4 pm.
I've been working very hard and have created new designs that will have their debut at this fair. These new bears are not available from my web site, they are designed exclusively for Minstead. So come along, say hello, pick up a new Higgys Bear to add to your hug or just have a beary chat. we would love to see you all there. XXXXX

Great news

Just to let you all know that Higgys Bears web-site will be closing on Tues. 17th April and Wed. 18th April and will be re-opening with my new Web-Site on Thurs. 19th April.
There will be lots of new designs for you to see so please take a look and you can even e-mail me with your reaction to my new Higgys Bears site.

Higgys Bears and Titanic

Hi everyone,
I have made a tribute bear to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the "Titanic"
This bear is for show only and not for sale, he is off to a local school as part of their "Titanic" display for next week.
Please take a look at my "Titanic" bear he is on my web-site on the New Bears page and will be on display there for a limited time only.
I hope you like him, I love him and I hope the children at our local school will fall in love with him too and he may even help them to understand a little about the life and the history behind the passengers on the "Titanic".
May they all rest in peace. X.

Higgys Bears love Mothers Day

Mothers Day is fast approaching but I'm ready!
I have one bear only, her name is "A Mothers Day"when she's gone she's gone!
I did sooooo well at Hugglets that I decided to limit myself to one bear only for Mothers Day, now I have to concentrate on lots of new designs for my forthcoming shows.
It's all very exciting, but first, time for a coffee I think to set me off on the right foot : )))))))))))

Higgys Loved Hugglets

Hi everyone,
To those of you that made the trip to Hugglets you know what a GREAT day this was, there were Higgys Bears flying off my stand, thank goodness my husband was there to help or I would never have managed!! XXX
To all those who gave a Higgys Bear a new home I thank you, to all those who stopped to chat, to all the new friends we made and to all the old friends that always stop by, we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for being part of a truely wonderful day at Hugglets : )))))))))))) XXX
